Jumeirah Beach Hotel is one of the most stunning hotels in Dubai. It’s instantly recognisable because of its wave shaped structure.
We stayed at this hotel in 2017. Honestly, while booking we were kind of confused between Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Atlantis. Both are lovely family friendly hotels with waterparks and sea facing rooms. But Jumeirah’s closer proximity to the other main attractions, especially Burj Al Arab (we had afternoon tea booked there) was what sold it to us. Please read our post “Afternoon Tea at Burj Al Arab” for our afternoon tea experience there.
Jumeirah Beach Hotel is a fabulous place consisting of 11 restaurants, private beach and 3 swimming pools. We loved the infinite eating options, pools, their spa and of course the view from the room. We were picked up in the Hotel’s luxurious Lincoln Navigator SUV. It was at the airport we last saw our luggage.
Upon arrival, we were directly taken to the executive lounge. As we helped ourselves to the refreshments, we were checked in by the staff. Check in was so relaxed and seamless. Our son was more than excited to spend time in the brilliant kids lounge.
Within ten minutes we were in our room. As we both are always drawn to beautiful views, so had requested the hotel to give us a room at one of the higher floors. Our request was granted and we were given a room on the 16th floor. The room was Ocean Club Executive and it was fantastic. The floor to ceiling glass windows with a view of Burj Al Arab were brilliant. The endless Arabian gulf permeated a sense of calmness. The bed was large and comfortable and the bathroom was spacious too. We purposely booked us an old style room as we had read somewhere that old rooms have more floor space as compared to the new layout of the renovated rooms. But now as the hotel has undergone major renovation, all the rooms have been refurbished and modernised.
It was always such a pleasure to open the curtains first thing in the morning and devour the unbelievable and ridiculously beautiful sight. We had access to the Executive pool as well. Expect to be fully pampered in a private cabana where everything right from cold water, lollies and cold flannels will be replenished throughout your time at the executive pool. The service is truly remarkable at the Executive pool. It was also less crowded than the general pool. But it’s timings were comparatively shorter than the general pool.
World class service
We must mention the impeccable service we received here. Their staff is very attentive and helpful. The extra touches left by the housekeeping staff in our room were really appreciated. They always left unlimited drinking water, fresh fruit and little Anniversary cakes and cards. The house keeping staff always used to leave a special towel art for our son with complimentary gifts for him. We definitely felt so pampered. They really tailor your experience according to your needs. We were also provided with one complimentary beach bag, three robes and three pairs of slippers in our wardrobe.
Dining In Jumeirah
As mentioned above, Jumeirah Beach hotel has 11 restaurants and bars. They offer a wide variety of international cuisine. We were given half board dining vouchers which could be used in any Jumeirah restaurant. Till date we feel guilty we were not able to fully explore most of the dining options during our stay 😉 As during day time we were out exploring and we already had placed few bookings for nearby restaurants. But if you have time and a large appetite, you are in the right place 😉 Throughout our stay in Dubai we felt we had overeaten.
The hotel’s main buffet restaurant Latitude is quite popular and has a relaxed vibe to it. Among the limited number we tried, Beachcombers turned out to be our firm favourite. This pan asian restaurant and its location was fabulous. On another day we tried Ocean Blue. The drinks, food and service was brilliant.
Getting around the hotel
The hotel makes sure you always travel in comfort. You can always hop on a buggy if you need to go to any other Jumeirah property. Or take a soothing boat ride to your appointment at Talise spa. The hotel staff is quite attentive when it comes to taking care of their guests. They always come and enquire if they feel you are stranded and waiting for a buggy. And you never have to wait for long.
Club Executive Room benefits
The first main benefit was airport transfers that too in luxury cars (needless to say that 😉 ) We had access to the Club lounge and private beach . Breakfast, Afternoon tea and Evening sundowners were also included in the price of our stay which was an added bonus. We had unlimited direct access to Wild Wadi waterpark, executive pool and kids club too. Complimentary access to Talise spa was included as well. We had late nights and sometimes this was the state of our son at 1 am in the night. Not ready to leave the lounge at all.
On the whole, we were quite happy with the perks of a Club Executive room. Our stay at Jumeirah Beach hotel was a memorable one and we won’t hesitate to book it again if given a chance. This hotel highly values their guests . Our messages to the hotel for any info were replied to quite instantly as well. All our needs and requirements regarding anything were catered to so nicely. Highly recommend Jumeirah Beach hotel.
