We all would surely agree on one point that we all love to snack, isn’t it? The main three meals of the day have their own specific importance but snacking in between meals will always reserve a very special place. Even if you are following some specific diet, I’m sure it will leave room for snacking calories.
Now the term ‘snacking’ has always very negative connotations associated with it. Snacking seems to imply unhealthy junk food, savoury food loaded with not so good saturated fats and sugar loaded confectionary. But all this is far from reality. It depends upon what we choose to snack on. In other words, healthy snacking is just a matter of choosing wisely.
We can choose to make our own snacks which will of course need a little bit of planning and readily available ingredients. Or we can buy the ones available from the market which are easier to carry when out and about, with zero preparation. Here I’m not favouring shop bought snacks over the homemade ones but just sharing the ones I love to munch on which are low calorie snacks of course. Nothing can beat the health benefits of a home prepared snack but this blog is a round up of readymade snacks which might come handy when you are in rush, going on day trips or preparing school lunches.
Please do remember to always check the labels if in doubt for calorie content and to keep your intake in moderation. Why? Because moderation is the key to snacking 🙂
So, here’s a list of 21 shop-bought low calorie snacks I love 🙂
